Hello - This afternoon I received an auto notice that someone (I have no way of knowing who, or I would reach out just to them) marked our second blood drive email as spam. I apologize if anyone felt that a second notification was too much, but I have to remind EVERYONE that if you mark my email as SPAM or JUNK, you will no longer receive ANY emails from me. This includes not just mass communications, but ANY important school information, including singular emails to you. Please make sure my email, rheck@orangevillecusd.com is not flagged in your email system, so that you continue to receive important notifications regarding your students (including the upcoming report cards). If an email sent is not of interest to you, please delete it instead of blocking me. Thank you.

Our elementary quarterly incentive to go to Alpine Hills Snow Park in Rockford was cancelled last week. We rescheduled this Wednesday, and were worried all the snow would be gone! Fortunately it was a great fun day with plenty of snow AND comfortable temps!

Tomorrow (3/3/23) is Colon Cancer Awareness Day, and we're announcing a "blue alert"! Wear blue tomorrow for cancer awareness, and in support of Coach G. If you're also dressing up for Dr. Suess week, go ahead and wear your animal prints too... mix it up and make it fun!

OHS Alum Tessa Janecke does it again! She was named 22-23 CHA Rookie of the Year due to her amazing season on the Penn State Women's Hockey team, breaking their program records for goals, assists, and points by a freshman. Way to go Tessa! https://tinyurl.com/2dnnjy3e

Each day, Mrs. Cahoon-Jackson offers what she calls the "impossible shot" to two students with great effort and sportsmanship during her PE classes. For the second time this year, a student MADE the impossible shot! Congratulations to Eli Klein, today's shot-maker!!

Reminder from the Fine Arts Boosters: Little Caesars Pizza Kit order forms are due tomorrow (3/1/23). They can be turned in to their teachers, the elementary office, or Mr. Zier. Thank you!

Anyone interested in joining the FFA Alumni group, don't forget - remember, the meeting was moved to tonight! It will take place in the HS agriculture classroom, at 7:00 pm, and everyone is welcome!

This Thursday, March 2nd, is Dr. Seuss's birthday, so that makes this week Dr. Seuss dress up week! Help us celebrate not only by participating in the wacky dress up days this week, but also by READING!

Yesterday, our 7th grade students attended the annual CareerTec Mall of Life. In this setting, each student was assigned a salary with their job, then had to navigate their life with everyday scenarios including family, work, paying bills, etc. What a learning experience!

Two weeks from today it will be time for our spring play!! March 10th & 11th Orangeville will put on "The Show Must Go On, part deux!". If you enjoyed our improv/sketch show two years ago, come out and see what our student actors do this year. Tickets are $8/$6 at the door.

Congrats to the girls basketball team & coaches on a hard fought & historic season! Because of our shortened week, the deadline for the basketball shirts has been extended to Monday, the 27th. Please turn in any order forms & money to the office by then. https://5il.co/1psb5

Due to a low number of people signed up, we will not be taking a fan bus to Polo.
Due to Dakota's power outage, the Junior High Girls Basketball game is canceled!
The Sectional game in Polo, at 7:00 vs Galena, is still on.
Go Broncos!!!!
The lunch menu for tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 24, has been changed. Instead of "dippers", it will now be the lunch originally scheduled for Thursday: Quesadilla, Spanish Rice, Green Beans, and Peaches.

Due to the icing and continued poor road conditions, there will be no school today, Thursday, February 23. 2023, for Orangeville School District. Decisions will be made later regarding any extracurricular events happening tonight. Stay safe.

If you are wanting to ride the fan bus to tomorrow's game, you can click on the link below from your computer and fill out the information or you can email Brooks Scherer @ bscherer@orangevillecusd.com.
