OEF post-secondary scholarship applications are due by Aug. 5 to an OEF member. If you are planning to drop it off at the school, please do so by 3:00 on Aug. 4 (office is closed on the 5th). Application is here: https://5il.co/p6fs
On Saturday, the National Suicide Hotline launched a new number. Instead of an 11-digit number, it is now 988. When people call or text 988, they will be connected to trained counselors with the existing lifeline network. https://988lifeline.org/
We are only a month away from school starting! If you have not yet completed online registration, please do so asap. If you are a family new to Orangeville School District and have not yet contacted the school, please call this week. 789-4289 (HS) or 789-4450 (GS).
Don't forget, JH Football camp and 1-8 grade baseball camp start on Monday (7/18). If you didn't turn in your form & money already, make sure to take them to the first day of camp. High school football camp forms & money are due Monday if you want a t-shirt.
The Orangeville Education Foundation will be grilling at AJ's Lena Maid Meats on Friday, Aug. 5th. Plan to come out for lunch - all are welcome! The more they can fundraise, the more money that is available to give grants to teachers & scholarships to students.
Check It Out - If you look closely, you may recognize the OHS alum on the cover of the current cover of USA Hockey magazine... It is #22 Tessa Janecke, of course! Very cool!
The ShopKo Optical in Freeport (on South West Ave.) asked us to share that they have back-to-school eye exams for $49 through July 31st for students age 25 and under. Call 232-3057 for an appointment. They also have specially priced bundles available if you are getting glasses.
