This week is National School Counseling Week, and the Orangeville School District would like to recognize our own school counselor, Mr. Chris Moore. Thank you Mr. Moore for all the seen, and unseen, things you do for our students and our school!

The 4th grade earned a sledding and hot cocoa party, and they were able to fit it in on Monday morning before all the snow melted!
This is a reminder that tomorrow, 2/2/2024, Orangeville School District has a scheduled SIP Day. This means our students will dismiss at 11:00 am.
FYI - The 5:30 pm weight room time that Coach Jones supervises on Tuesdays and Thursdays will be cancelled for the month of February. It will pick up again in March. Thank you.
Congratulations to our Spelling Bee winners: 3rd place, Rylie Scheuerell, 2nd place Grady Scheuerell, 1st place Connor Jacobs. Grady & Connor will move on to the regional bee at the HCC Student Conference Center on February 13 at 7:00.
Spelling Bee Update:
Good Morning Orangeville Families! Today's spelling bee will now be hosted in the main gym. Please remember to enter through the Jr/Sr High Entrance for the event at 1pm today.

Bronco Athletics Update:
As of 1/29/24, the Orangeville/Aquin Football Co-Op has been officially recognized by IHSA and I8FA. We look forward to the contributions this agreement will allow both of the football programs to make as we work together.
Thank you coaches, players, and parents from both schools for your patience in this process. We look forward to a successful football season !

Because of yesterday's cancellation, we are utilizing the 'snow date' for the Orangeville Spelling Bee. It will now take place next Tuesday, January 30th, at 1:00 pm in the elementary fieldhouse.
Bronco Athletics Update:
There will be a change in the HS Girls Basketball schedule. The game originally scheduled for 1/27/24 against Stockton has been cancelled. A replacement game will now take place at Bryon on 2/3/24 @ 12:30.

Bronco Athletics Update *Please read fully for 1/23 game day changes*
All games have been cancelled for tonight due to road/travel conditions.
HS Boys: Will be rescheduled for 1/31 @ Warren at 6:30pm. HS Boys will NOT have practice tonight.
HS Girls: Will be rescheduled for 1/24 @ Lena at 5:30pm. HS Girls will have an open gym from 4-5pm.
JH Girls: Will be rescheduled for 2/9 vs Forreston at home at 5:30pm. This will take the place of the non-conference Stockton game originally scheduled. JH Girls will have a practice from 5:30pm to 7:30pm tonight in the main gym.
OAA: Boys have cancelled practice for tonight. Girls will practice 4-5:30pm in the field house. Please make sure to use the elementary entrance ONLY when coming to practice to limit the salt on the field house floor.

The CareerTec Information Night originally planned for this evening has been rescheduled to next Monday, January 29, 2024, beginning at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria. All are welcome to attend the presentation and learn more about what CareerTec has to offer!
