Justin Bright Star

Congratulations to freshman Justin Malone on winning the Bright Star Award, given to a promising high school freshman drama student at the 11th Annual Voice Awards held at Freeport’s Masonic Temple on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Justin receives a scholarship at the prestigious Timberlake Playhouse Theater Camp this summer. Mrs. Swart also won the Director’s Award at the ceremony.

Nashville trip 2016:

The Orangeville Band, Choir, and drama students got the opportunity over spring break in March to travel to Nashville, Tennessee.  While there the students visited the Parthenon, toured The Grand Ole Opry, visited the Country Music Hall of Fame and Musician’s Hall of Fame, recorded a song in Studio B Recording Studio (where Elvis Presley used to record), attended a Grand Ole Opry show, and met Rudy Gatlin and the “Property Brothers”!

Nashville Opry

The Bronco Band and Choir also performed while in Nashville.  Both ensembles performed in the Grand Ole Opry Plaza and outside the Country Music Hall of Fame.   The students enjoyed their time in Nashville and loved seeing all the city had to offer.
